The movie on Gore is drama intended to grab attention and not detailed scientific review and thus is bound to be over the top in some places. The DVD of the film did have updates and clarification responses to the questions raised after the film came out. It would have been nice if Stossel had clarified exactly what critics he picked out backgrounds of expertise were and what the detailed scientific arguments were explained in way that the lay audience could understand why the critics are very much in the minority. Of course that would have taken up the whole 20/20 show and then some and would not have made for good theater.
