In fact that is all I use when I browse the Internet. The only exceptions are when I want to know what my website looks like on IE and other browsers. It may not even be a "rumor." ISP's have to deal with many different kinds of browsers but I'm sure they don't have the resources to train employees on every single one. IE is still the most widely used browser because it's packaged with Windows. I'm hoping someday, when FF takes over in popularity, ISP's may need to train for it.
