What Would People Say To You If They Knew It Was Anonymous?

I came across this site today that is essentially a social networking site that allows people to leave anonymous messages for you.  The assertion is that friends may not say exactly what they think if you know who’s saying it.  It’s called AY.com (for “Anonymous You”).

I don’t think I really like the idea for a couple of reasons.  First, I believe friendship is built on stuff like trust and honesty.  A true friend will be able to tell you whatever you need to hear, whether or not you want to. Secondly, what is the point of asking or saying something to a friend that you never would otherwise?  What would be the real purpose?

Anyhow, check it out if you must, I just don’t see the point.
