This has sure been a busy year, hasn’t it?  I’m sad to admit it but for part of 2010 I neglected my writing here.  To be honest, I got a bit busy as a staff blogger for other places and failed to see the importance of my own space on this Internet world.  A few months ago we saw Timmyjohnboy.com miraculously come back to life and I’m happy we’re back!

I commemorate a good year passing and the hope of a new year coming, I’d like to take a quick peek at some of the most popular posts published here on Timmyjohnboy.com in 2010.

One interesting tidbit to notice is that several of the articles to make this list were actually written by some of my wonderful guest authors!  Should I be jealous?  No!  We love hearing from others with similar interests yet different perspectives and styles!  We all love friends around here!

Another interesting tidbit to notice is that several of the articles to make this list are also pretty recently published, meaning they haven’t had as much time for exposure as some of the others.  This is cool because it means they received instant traffic and popularity.

8. Top 3 Blunders Your Kids Are Probably Making On Facebook Right Now – I approach a sore subject for many young people these days and give parents some good reasons why they ought to keep better tabs on the kids’ Facebook activities.
9. 5 Really Cool Android Tips For Newbies – Since I too was recently an Android newbie, I brought some tips for beginners.
10. 5 Geeky Black Friday Deals Under $100 – Jackson wrote this article for us bringing to light some very geeky Black Friday deals.  I hope it helped some of you brave shoppers out there!

In the tradition of all things free and cheap, I’d like to announce that I just heard on the radio that people traveling the New York State Thruway this New Years have the opportunity to pull over for a free coffee or tea at Thruway Travel Plazas!

The free beverages will be provided at all 27 travel plazas along the Thruway from 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, until 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, New Year’s Day (January 1, 2009).

Thruway officials are trying to help to curtail drowsy driving noting that popular tactics such as blaring music and lowering the window are ineffective.  Frequent stops and caffenated drinks, however, offer better short-term advantages.  So drink more coffee and stop often – and enjoy the free coffee!
